• Turn lever (1) counter clockwise to lift the print head.
• Slide the ink ribbon reel (3) onto the ribbon supply hub (4) so that the color coating of
the ribbon faces downwards when being unwound.
Centrally align the ink ribbon with the help of the printed scales.
• Hold the ink ribbon reel (3) and turn the knob on the ribbon supply hub (4) counter
clockwise until the ink ribbon reel is secured.
If the out of ribbon error message is displayed, this may mean that the ink ribbon reel
or ink ribbon winder has not been correctly secured.
• Slide and secure an empty ink ribbon reel onto the ink ribbon winder (2).
Always retain the empty ink ribbon core.
• Guide ink ribbon through the print unit as shown in Figure 2-2.
• Secure the starting end of the ink ribbon to the ribbon take-up hub (2) with adhesive
tape. Ensure counter clockwise direction of the ribbon take-up hub here.
• Tighten the ink ribbon path feed.
• Turn lever (1) clockwise to lock the print head.
