HOOD OR ROOM VENTILATION

The devices enable connection to, 2 outlets mod.500 and 4 mod.800, natural
convection ventilation outlets (or forced ones using a centrifugal fan only for
the 500/800 Corner fireplace). It is not possible to install a forced ventilation
kit on the 400 Flat fireplace.
In the case of the 500/800 Corner fireplace, therefore, you need to decide on
the type of ventilation or convection when installing the device.
A ) NATURAL CONVECTION: (400 flat fireplace, 500/800 corner fireplace)
You need to remove the semiblanks (Picture 13) under the stack's outer
casing to favour natural air circulation (upwards flow of heated air) (ONLY
500/800 corner fireplace). If you select this convection system, you are
recommended not to install the electric fan (Cap.19).
B ) FORCED CONVECTION: ( ONLY 500 / 800 corner fireplace)
Installing a centrifugal fan enables flow of hot air in adjacent rooms
through ducts up to 4 meters in length. In this case, do not remove the
semiblanks underneath. (Picture 13).
The cover on each semiblank features 2 outlets mod.500 and 4 mod.800,
150mm (15cm ) in diameter for connecting heat-resistant pipes.
a) Drill holes in the walls or on the existing hood through which you can pass
and install fire-resistant hoses 15 cm in diameter and related openings;
b) Fasten the hoses, applying the clamps on their collars and openings;
c) Each pipe must not exceed 2 m in length for natural ventilation and 4
m for forced ventilation; it must be insulated with insulating materials
able to avoid noise and heat dispersion;
d) The openings must be positioned at a height no lower than 2 m from the
floor to prevent ejected hot air from coming into contact with people;
e) The ducts must all be of the same length to ensure the same amount of
air leaves each outlet. (Picture 14 - Picture 15)
