Monoblocco 400 Piano – 500 / 800 Angolo
Secondary air, passing in the façade's two side struts, heats up and triggers double combustion while also cleaning
the glass door (turn the regulator fully to the right). If you move the lever to the centre, the appliance (400-800
model) operates at a reduced rate: primary air is closed and the flow of secondary air is halved;The ash drawer
should be emptied regularly to prevent ash from obstructing the flow of primary air for combustion. Primary air also
helps fuel the fire.
The flow of primary air should be kept at a minimum during combustion to prevent the wood from burning
too quickly and causing the appliance to overheat.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

It is obligatory to comply with Domestic and European regulations, local rules on construction and fire
prevention rules.
You should contact your local chimney sweeper when your appliance is installed to check that it is properly connected
to the stack.
These checks should be carried out prior to installation:
Make sure the floor is sufficiently strong to support the appliance's weight and insulate it if is made of
inflammable material;
Make sure the room in which the fireplace is to be installed features suitable ventilation (air intake);
Do not install the fireplace in a room featuring shared ventilation ducts, hoods with or without extractor, type B
gas devices, heat pumps or devices which, when operated at the same time, can cause depression in the
room (Ref. Standard UNI 10683/98);
Make sure the flue and pipes to which the device will be connected are suitable for its operation.
Always leave an air pocket of at least 6 cm between the device and the walls (see Picture 16- Picture 17)
Determine the type of ventilation (natural or forced, 500-800 Corner fireplace) ref. CHAP.6.
Use a spirit level and adjust the adjustable feet to make sure the device is perfectly level and thereby ensure
the door can slide open correctly.
You are advised to have your local chimney sweeper check the appliance is connected properly to the stack and that
there is sufficient air inflow for combustion in the installation room.
After testing the proper working of the appliance, some days from the installation, it is possible to proceed
with the construction of its aesthetic covering.
WARNING: During the surround building operations it must kept in mind possible and subsequent electrical installed
parts maintenance (Fans, temperature probe, etc) and with hydraulic systems all parts connected to the Thermo
product.

FIRE PREVENTION SAFETY MEASURES

These fire prevention safety measures should be taken when installing the appliance (Picture 4):
a) There must not be any
flammable
objects
construction
materials
within a distance of 100 cm
of the hearth. This distance
can be reduced to 40 cm by
installing a heat-resistant,
rear-ventilated
protection
device in front of the entire
component to be protected;
b) If the device is to be
installed on a floor not
entirely made of refractory
material,
a
fire-resistant
base
such
as
a
platform should be fitted
(dimensions according to
local regulations).
The ash drawer must always be in place when using the hearth.
Solid combustion residue (ash) must be collected in an air-tight, fire resistant container. A fire must never be lit in the
hearth when there are gases or fumes (for example, from glue for linoleum flooring, gasoline, etc.). Do not place
flammable materials near the hearth.
Warn children not to touch the device as it can become extremely hot.
