Maintenance tests

In accordance with IEC/EN 61243-1 PHE III... voltage detectors must be tested for compliance
with the limit values specified in the electrotechnical rules.
The test interval for maintenance tests of PHE III... voltage detectors depends on their conditions
of use, for example frequency of use, environmental conditions and transport.
The scope of maintenance tests is described in IEC/EN 61243-1.
However, it is advisable to carry out maintenance tests every 6 years at the latest.
Maintenance tests are documented on the device (see Fig. 10).
