If several extension handles with HV STK... plug-in coupling are used, the combination of the
PHE III... voltage detector (with attached test prods, if any) and the insulating stick (with all
extensions) must not exceed a total length of 7000 mm.

The insulating section (insulating clearance) of the voltage detector must not contact live parts of the installation.

The "voltage present" indication must appear if the line-to-earth voltage of the part to be tested is more than
45% of the nominal voltage. The "voltage present" indication must not appear if the line-to-earth voltage of the
part to be tested is equal to or less than 10% of the nominal voltage. Observe the impact of interference fields.
Note:
The values mentioned above only refer to voltage detectors for use in three-phase systems. The response values of
special versions (observe note on the rating plate!) for other systems such as single-ended or centre-earthed
monophase systems are rated according to the relevant system configuration.

5.1 Rating plate:

The technical data (nominal voltage, nominal frequency) and instructions on the rating plate must be observed
(see Fig. 5.1).
5.2 Nominal voltage / nominal voltage range
The PHE III... voltage detector series includes
both devices with only one nominal voltage and
devices with a nominal voltage range and
switchable nominal voltage range.
The response behaviour of PHE III... voltage
detectors depends on the nominal voltage U
or nominal voltage range specified on the
rating plate. The insulation strength and
protection against bridging of the voltage
detectors are rated for the max. equipment
voltage U . Voltage detectors may only be
