When assembling PHE III... voltage detectors, only use the individual parts shown on the rating plate of the re-
levant PHE III... voltage detector (see rating plate of the PHE III... voltage detector, page 11).
4.1

Screwing the test prod in place

When attaching / removing test prods, no
mechanical forces may act on test prods with
rain cap.
Ensure tight fit of the assembled elements.
Before screwing the test prod in place, check the
sealing ring (O-ring) on the screw-in element
of the test prod for good order and condition
and perfect fit. Replace worn out sealing rings
(DEHN Part No. 767 779).
4.2 Indicators
Two different types of indicators are available
for PHE III... voltage detectors.
4.2.1 Indicators with universal gear coupling
Only insulating sticks, insulating elements or
adapter elements of the same coupling type
(universal gear coupling) may be used for
indicators with universal gear coupling!
Assembly
The indicator with universal gear coupling is
plugged into the coupling element of the
insulating stick, insulating element or adapter
element and is tightened with the knurled
screw.
Ensure that the teeth engage with one another.
The inclination angle can be adjusted ± max. 30°
(see Fig. 4.2.1).
4.2.2 Indicators with M12 threaded pin
Only insulating sticks, insulating elements or
adapter elements of the same coupling type (M12
threaded pin) may be used for indicators with M12
threaded pin!
Assembly
Indicators with M12 threaded pin are placed above
the coupling element (M12 threaded bushing) of the
insulating stick, insulating element or adapter
element and are screwed hand-tight (see Fig. 4.2.2).
