Maintenance

9.1 Battery replacement (see Fig. 9.1)
9.2 Open the housing (1) by turning the sealing ring (4) on the lower end of the indicator counterclockwise
(the insulating stick does not have to be removed) (see Fig. 9.1).
9.3 Pull the electronic element (3) out of the housing (see Fig. 9.1).
9.4 Replace the 9V block battery (2) in the upper end of the electronics slide-in unit in the battery
compartment by a new one (observe battery symbols +/-).
The following batteries may be used: 9V block battery (IEC 6LR61), leak-proof, for example:
• Energizer Alkaline Nr. 522
• Panasonic XTREME POWER
• Duracell Alkali-Mangan MN 1604
• Kodak XTRALIFE Alkaline Manganese K9V
or
• Ultralife Lithium Cell U9VL
Used batteries must be disposed of in an environmentally-friendly manner.
