4 Operation via the telephone
Terminals suppress the display of the multiple subscriber number with the following procedure. For ISDN terminals,
please consult the associated user's guide.

4.2.10 Room monitoring
You want to monitor the acoustic activity in a room. Then put a telephone in this room that is connected to your hy-
bird. A procedure is then carried out monitor this telephone. You can then dial this telephone from any authorised in-
ternal or external telephone and monitor the acoustic activity in the room.
An extension on hybird is set up as the room monitoring telephone. To do this, the receiver must be lifted on the re-
spective telephone or hands free must be activated and then a code must be entered. After entering the code, the re-
ceiver must not be replaced or hands free must not be deactivated. Room monitoring is now allowed through this
telephone. During this time, the telephone cannot be reached for normal calls.
This performance feature cannot be used for hold for enquiry, call forwarding or team calls.
Note
Each time the hybird is configured, room monitoring is deactivated and must then be re-enabled and
set up.

Room monitoring from an internal telephone
An internal call to a room-monitoring telephone (direct dialling the number of the telephone) is now accepted auto-
matically and the connection is established. The caller can acoustically monitor the room in which the telephone in
question is located via this connection.
