Notes on using and operating telephones
Not all of the performance features described here will be included in the connector for your network operator. Con-
tact your network operators to find out which performance features your connector includes or which performance
features you may have to order separately. Some terminals may use their own device-specific procedures for the
functions described. Refer to the corresponding operating instructions for your terminal. The following operating pro-
cedures are only based on the example of telephone connections, i.e. conversations between extensions. For ana-
logue telephones, the functions are only described for DTMF (Dual Tone Multi Frequency) terminals. You'll hear the
following tones when using analogue telephones. For ISDN and analogue telephones that generate their own tones,
these may vary. You may also find additional information on the displays of these telephones. System telephones
use their own functions. Therefore we recommend that you refer to the operating instructions for your system tele-
phone for information on the code procedures that can be used.
The performance features for analogue terminals can only be used with terminals that use the MFC dialling method
and that have a flash key. Flash length recognition can be adjusted in the configuration. Analogue terminals that dial
in using the PDM method cannot use the functions or keys that hold
ally after dialling a digit >
