9. Connecting Accessory Equipment and Adjusting the
9.1 Operation with UHER "Akustomat" F 411
The "Akustomat" F 4 1 1 is an electronic-acoustic switch. When the
SG 561 is set for Operation in the MONO 1 position, the Akustomat
F 411 will automatically Start and stop tape transport at the beginning
and end of recording. It should be connected to the socket marked A.
For further particulars, see the operating instructions supplied with the
Akustomat F 411.
The power supply of the SG 561 may be switched on by UHER Timer
A 403. For playback, turn the Mode Selector © and the Tape Speed
Selector © to the desired position, then the Tape Transport Switch ®
record mode (i.e., the RECORD Button @ must be locked in down-
position).
9.3 Recording with UHER Telephone Adapter A 261
UHER's galvanic Telephone Adapter A 261 should be connected to
the £> socket of the SG 561. In most countries the adapter must be
connected to the telephone by the telephone authorities or local tele-
phone Company.
For recording, the Mode Selector © must be in MONO 1 position;
It is advisable to use a "lest" call to make a record level test during
which the record level may be adjusted with the MICRO/RADIO Con-

Loosen the two knurled nuts (B) by rotating to left, and remove.

Pull tape head mount (C) straight up and off.

Push the replacing tape head mount down into place; then secure
it with the knurled nuts and replace the front cover cap.
9.5 Azimuth Adjustment of Playback Head (Fig. 12)
In hole (D) of the tape head mount there is an adjusting screw with
which the playback head may be tilted (within limits) to the left or right
