3.1 MICRO Switch ©
Pressing this switch into its locking down-position switches into circuit
the Stereo microphones connected to the Microphone socket Q while

Level Control © (upper knöb) regulates the record level for the left
channel of a stereo input source connected to either the MICRO Q

channel of a stereo input source connected to the MICRO Q or
Radio/Phono l sockets Ä . The record level will be registered on the

3.3 Separate-Channel Level Controls ©and ©
for Phono II Input
Level Control © (upper knob) regulates the record level for the left
channel bf a stereo input source connected to the Phono II socket^.
The record level will then be registered on the left level meter®.
Level Control © (Iower knob) regulates the record level for the right
channel of a stereo input source connected to the Phono II socket-J..
The record level will be registered on the right level meter©.

3.4 Level Meter for Left Channel ©
The left meter © registers the peak level readings for the left channel
of a stereo Signal in both record and playback modes.
3.5 Level Meter for Right Channel ©
The right meter @ registers the peak level readings for the right
channel of a Stereo Signal in both record and playback modes.
3.6 MONITOR (SOURCE/TAPE) Switch ®
This switch is for selecting the mode of monitoring during record:
TAPE (switch in up-position) or SOURCE (switch pressed into down-
position). It allows the quality of the recording to be checked acous-
tically at once during record, for in TAPE position the Signal just recorded
monitoring the Signal delivered by the input source may be heard while
it is being recorded on the tape. This direct comparison of source and
tape recording lets differences between the two be easily recognized.
3.7 MULTIPLAY/ECHO Control ®
In "multiplay" or sound-with-sound Operation (see sec. 7.4) this con-
ferred from track 1 to track 2. At the same time an additional Pro-
gramme will be also recorded on track 2, the record level of which
must be adjusted by means of the appropriate level control for the
input source from which the new programme is being recorded.
