Chapter 4. Safety standards

4.3. Guards

The machine is equipped with a front guard (C1) and a back guard (C2) which stop the machine when they are opened.
To start the machine up again follow the instructions provided in paragraph 5.3 (see note for alarm "A002: GUARDS
OPEN").

4.4. Residual risks

Comply with the following prohibitions and warnings.
Dragging hazard!
Hazard generated by moving elements (conveyor belts, motor driven rollers) in the event of contact during operation
phases.
Burn hazard!
Risk due to hot sealing knives for film.
Before performing operations in these zones, set the machine to "maintenance mode", and wait for resistances to cool.
Never perform operations without suitable personal protective equipment such as gloves and overalls.
Electric shock hazard!
Sealing unit: risk due to electric energy inside sealing unit (Pratika 56 MPS only).
Electric control board: risk due to electric energy inside electrical control board (in terminal board of main switch and on
terminals at switch inlet)
Before performing maintenance:
switch the machine off by rotating the main switch (Q1) to "0" (OFF)

 remove the plug from the mains socket
WAIT 15 minutes to allow the capacitors to discharge.

The wheels must be used only for moving the unit short distances across smooth, horizontal floors.
