5. Set-up using bath

Turn item ON

• Locate vessel or bath (to include stirring paddle) on the plate of your magnetic stirrer. Magnetic
paddles are available from Heidolph Instruments as an extra option.

• Prior to turning the power switch (1) ON, rotate speed controls (2 + 3) to their extreme left position
(CCW).
• Turning the power switch (1) ON (range I), a self-test is done; all LEDs (8, 11) light for a moment,
and all bars in the digital display (7) appear, display shows Set1, Set2 or Set3, followed by 3
beeps.
• When power switch is ON, stirrer motor is ready to run.
• Act Temp (11) LED lighting in Set1 and Set2 mode, display (7) will show actual sensor tempera-
ture, or, in Set3 mode, hot plate temperature.

If you are going to use a bath (refer to „options" section) make sure, bottom
ring of your adapter properly slips over the hot plate.
When using the item with a 4 liter bath, you may attach the temperature sen-
sor to a special stay bar (18) (P/N 509-98000-00), designed for the 4 liter
bath.
