10. Operation

a) Starting DCF Reception Attempt Manually

Then keep the button „2/
reception symbol (A2) in the upper right of the display flashes. The reception attempt takes about
5-10 minutes; do not move the weather station during this time and do not push any button.
If there is still no current display for the time and date after this time, the weather station will
perform another search at the next full hour.
Do not put the weather station next to electronic devices, metal parts, cables, etc. Bad
reception can also be expected, e.g. in case of metallised insulation glass windows,
reinforced concrete construction, coated special wallpaper or basement rooms.
Some operating buttons are without function while scanning for the DCF signal.
Disconnect the search for the DCF signal if required by pushing the button „2/
for 3 seconds.
If no DCF reception is possible at the site of set-up, time and date can be set manually.

b) Manual Search for the Outdoor Sensors

If you want to use several outdoor sensors (one is enclosed with the delivery, up to
two others can be ordered as accessories), check that each outdoor sensor has been
set to a different transmission channel.
If an outdoor sensor is not found, the display of the weather station shows only dashes
for the outdoor temperature and outdoor humidity.
If you have any reception problems, reduce the distance between the outdoor sensor
and the weather station if required, or pick a different site of setup. Also check the
batteries in the outdoor sensor and insert new batteries if required.
To start manual search, push the button „CHANNEL" (B10) on the reverse of the weather station
for 3 seconds until a sound signal is issued. The display for the outdoor temperature/humidity
and the reception symbol (lower right of the display) then flash.
The sensor search takes no more than 3 minutes; do not move the weather station during this
time and do not push any button (some buttons on the weather station also will not work during
the sensor scan).
