USB OPERATION
Connecting external data media
Before connecting the external data medium it is
recommended to switch the television to stand-
by mode.
Before removing the external data medium,
the television set must be switched to standby,
so that no data loss occurs.
Notes:
The USB1 socket of the television set

supplies a maximum power of 500 mA
in accordance with USB specifications.
External hard disks which require more
power may therefore only be connected to
the USB2 of the television set.
If you use a network cable for external hard

disks which are connected to the USB2
socket on the television, this network cable
must also be disconnected from the power
supply when the television is switched off.
External data media may not be

disconnected from the television set
while files on the data medium are being
accessed.
A bi-directional data transfer as defined for

ITE (Information Technology Equipment)
devices in EN 55022/EN 55024 is not
possible.
USB transfer is not in itself an operating

mode. It is only an additional function.

switch on the television from standby mode.
2 Connect the USB2 socket of the television
and the corresponding socket on the data
device (external hard drive, digital camera,
card reader or MP3 player) using a USB
cable;
or
insert the USB plug of the USB memory stick
into the USB1 socket of the television set.
Removing the external data
media
Before removing the external data medium, log
off the data medium.
1 Switch off the media player by pressing
»My Media«.
2 Open the menu with »MENU«.
3 Select the menu item »USB RECORDING«
with »
confirm.
4 Select the line »Safely Remove Disk« with
»

Note:
The data medium can now be removed

from the socket.
