Residual risks

The product has been built according to state-of-the-
art and the recognised technical safety rules.
However, individual residual risks can arise during
operation.
• Residual risks can be minimised if the "Safety Instruc-
tions" and the "Intended Use" together with the oper-
ating manual as a whole are observed.
• Use the product in the way that is recommended in
this operating manual. This is how to ensure that your
product provides optimum performance.
• Furthermore, despite all precautions having been met,
some non-obvious residual risks may still remain.
WARNING
This power tool generates an electromagnetic field
during operation. This field can impair active or passive
medical implants under certain circumstances. In order
to prevent the risk of serious or deadly injuries, we rec-
ommend that persons with medical implants consult
with their physician and the manufacturer of the medical
implant prior to operating the power tool.
WARNING
Follow the safety and charging instructions
and correct usage given in the instruction
manual of your 20V IXES Series battery and
charger. A detailed
charging process and further information are
provided in this separate manual.
ATTENTION
The product is part of the 20V IXES series and may on-
ly be operated with batteries of this series. Batteries
may only be charged with battery chargers of this se-
ries. Observe the manufacturer's instructions.

Assembly

ATTENTION
Always make sure the product is fully assembled
before commissioning!
Tool required:
• Phillips screwdriver*
• Utility knife*
* = may not be included in the scope of delivery!
8.1 Selecting and fitting the holder
The control unit can either be mounted on the wall using
the wall bracket or attached directly to the water barrel us-
ing the barrel bracket.
Note:
The control unit is switched off at elevated temperatures
via a thermal switch. The bracket for the control unit
should therefore always be mounted in a shaded location.

8.1.1 Fitting the wall bracket (8) (Fig 3)
WARNING
– Before wall mounting, make sure that there are no
lines in the wall in the area of the drill holes that
could be damaged.
– Children must not play with the product, even if it is
hanging on the wall.
– Mounting behind doors and their swinging range is
not recommended, as there is a risk of tearing off or
otherwise damaging the product.
WARNING
Risk of damage to supply lines
Contact with electric lines may cause electric shock and
fire, contact with a gas line may cause explosion. Dam-
age to a water pipe can cause damage to property and
electric shock.
– When drilling for wall mounting, make sure that
there are no supply lines in the wall in the area of
the drill holes that could be damaged.
Note:
Please note that the distance to the water barrel is limited
due to the length of the connection cable. The distance to
the barrel plus the height of the barrel must not exceed
the length of the connection cable.
1. Find a suitable place for the wall bracket (8).
2. Fit the wall bracket (8) using screws and, if necessary,
plastic wall plugs.
3. Ensure that the wall bracket (8) is fixed horizontally.
4. Remove the locking screw (8a) from the wall bracket
(8).
5. Clip the control unit (2) into the wall bracket (8).
6. Secure the control unit (2) with the locking screw (8a).
Use a Phillips screwdriver.
8.1.2 Fitting the barrel bracket (9) (Fig. 4)
1. Hook the barrel bracket (9) onto the edge of the water
barrel.
2. Clip the control unit (2) onto the barrel bracket (9).
3. Check that the control unit (2) is securely fastened.
8.2 Fitting the hose connector (5a)
(Fig. 5)
1. Screw the hose connector (5a) onto the hose connec-
tion (5) on the pump (6). Ensure that there is a sealing
ring inside the hose connector (5a).
2. Tighten the hose connector (5a).
8.3 Fitting the connection lines
(Fig. 6- 9)
Note:
Position the pump approximately 50 mm above the bot-
tom of the water barrel, away from any deposits that could
damage the pump.
