10.1 Switching the product on/off
(Fig. 13)
Note:
The product can only be started if the battery cover is
completely closed and the product is correctly connected
to the control unit.
1. To switch on the product, press the on/off button (1a)
on the control panel (1).
2. The battery charge indicator (1e) illuminates during
operation and shows the charge status of the battery
(3c).
3. To switch off the product, press the on/off button (1a)
again.
10.2 Timer function (Fig. 14)
1. To activate the timer function, press the setting button
(1c) on the control panel (1) while the product is
switched on.
2. After pressing once, the running time is 5 minutes.
Each subsequent press increases the running time of
the pump by 5 minutes, up to a maximum of 15 min-
utes.
3. The selected running time is indicated by the timer
LED (1d).
4. The product switches off automatically after the set
time has elapsed.
5. To terminate the timer function prematurely, press the
setting button (1c) repeatedly until the timer LED (1d)
goes out.

11 Cleaning and maintenance

WARNING
Have maintenance and repair tasks that are
not described in this operating manual, car-
ried out by a specialist workshop. Use only
original spare parts.

Improper maintenance or cleaning work can
cause injuries!
WARNING
The product may start unexpectedly and cause inju-
ries and burns during cleaning, repair and mainte-
nance work.
– Switch the product off.
– Remove the battery.
– Allow the product to cool.
11.1 Cleaning
1. Keep protective devices, air vents and the motor
housing as free of dust and dirt as possible. Rub the
product clean with a clean cloth or blow it off with
compressed air at low pressure. We recommend that
you clean the product directly after every use.
2. Ventilation openings must always be free.

3. Do not use any cleaning products or solvents; they
could attack the plastic parts of the product. Make
sure that no water can penetrate the product interior.

Note:
The pump is equipped with a filter to prevent damage
from contaminants. Check the filter regularly.
1. Pull the filter (7) off the pump (6) downwards.
2. Clean the filter (7) thoroughly under running water.
3. Reattach the filter (7) to the pump (6).

1. Remove the cap (10b) from the connection with the
hose aerator (10a).
2. Remove the ball (10c).
3. Clean the hose aerator thoroughly under running wa-
ter.
4. Insert the ball (10c) and replace the cap (10b).
11.2 Maintenance
The product is maintenance-free.
There are no parts which can be repaired by the user
within this product. Contact a qualified professional to
have the product checked and repaired.
• Check the product for obvious defects such as loose,
worn or damaged parts before each use.

12 Storage and transport

WARNING
Danger of injury and burning!
The product can start unexpectedly and cause injuries.
– Switch off the engine before carrying out any clean-
ing or maintenance work.
– Allow the engine to cool down.
– Remove the battery.
12.1 Storage
Preparation for storage
1. Remove the battery from the product before pro-
longed storage (e.g. winter storage).
2. Clean and check the product for damage.
3. Store the battery in a partially charged state.
4. When stored, check the battery charge level every
three months.
Store the product and its accessories in a dark, dry and
frost-free place that is inaccessible to children.
The optimum storage temperature is between 5°C and
30˚C.
Store the product in its original packaging.
Cover the product to protect it from dust or moisture.
Store the operating manual with the product.
12.2 Transport
• Allow the product to cool.
• Protect the product from impacts, shocks and severe
vibrations, e.g. during vehicular transport.
