Installation of the submersible pump

The pump must not run 'dry' without water. Running 'dry' will result in damage to the
unit. In this case, repairs will only be possible at a charge.
The Rainer 1000 Inox and Rainer 1200 Inox pumps are fitted with a float switch that switches
the pump on and off depending on the water level. As the water level rises, the hollow float
rises with the water level. Upon reaching the switch-on level, the ball inside the float drops,
closing the electrical contacts, causing the pump motor to start.
As the water is pumped out, the water level drops and the float descends with it. Upon
reaching the cut-off level, the falling ball inside the float disconnects the contacts, thereby
switching off the pump motor. The user can adjust the switch-on and switch-off levels by
adjusting the length of the cable between the float bracket and the float.
Warning! The minimum cable length between the float holder and the float must not
be less than 10 cm. Failure to comply with this recommendation will result in damage to
the float cable insulation. In such a case, pump repairs will only be available at a charge.

If the float is likely to become caught on the tank wall, the pump should be operated
under the user's direct supervision to prevent failure due to potential 'dry running'.
