The electrical supply network for the pump should be equipped with an installation
circuit breaker, such as an M611 motor overcurrent circuit breaker, to protect the motor
against overload. To ensure the circuit breaker effectively protects the motor against
overload, it should be set to the winding current specified on the rating plate. The pump
may operate without such protection; however, in the event of a failure caused by
overload, the repair costs shall be borne by the user.
The electrical supply system for the pump should be equipped with a residual current
device (RCD) with a rated tripping current ΔIn of no more than 30 mA. The manufacturer
and the guarantor are exempt from any liability for damage caused to persons or
property resulting from powering the pump without the appropriate circuit breaker.
If the insulation of the power cable or the float cable is damaged, the pump must not be
used. In such a situation, contact the guarantor to have the cable replaced. Mechanical
damage is not covered by free warranty repairs. Using the pump with damaged cable
insulation will, at best, result in the motor being flooded with water; at worst, it may lead
to electric shock.
If the pump is operating at a considerable distance from buildings and the power supply
is provided via an extension lead longer than 20 m, it is essential to check the voltage at
the end of the extension lead before starting the pump. Please note that the supply
voltage drops at the end of the cable as its length increases.
The pump must not be used if the voltage drops below 210 V. Using the pump under such
conditions will lead to motor overload and failure. In this case, repairs will only be available
at a charge.
People or animals must not be present in the water where the pump is operating.
The pump's mains plug must be disconnected before anyone enters the pool.
The mains power cable must not be used to secure or transport the pump.
Use a securing rope to submerge or lift/secure the pump. Please check the condition of
the rope attachment regularly.
Always inspect the pump before use (especially the power cables and power
connections).
