The pump is not designed for pumping water containing excessive amounts of minerals
that cause limescale build-up on the pumping components. Using the pump under such
conditions will lead to premature wear of the working parts. In this case, repair of the
pump will only be possible on a chargeable basis.
The pump must not be used to pump water containing oils or petroleum-based
substances. Operating the pump with such water will damage rubber components, e.g.
the cable or seals, and consequently lead to a leak in the pump and motor failure. In this
case, repair of the pump will only be available on a chargeable basis.
The water being pumped must not contain long fibrous contaminants where the
longest dimension exceeds the maximum contaminant diameter specified in the
technical data for the relevant pump type.
When using a pump in rainwater harvesting systems, it is essential to fit a pre-filter to the
water flowing into the rainwater tank in order to prevent the pump's hydraulic
components from becoming clogged by sand and other contaminants.
In addition, the pump must be suspended at least 30 cm above the bottom of the
rainwater tank to prevent damage to the pump caused by sediment at the bottom of
the tank.
The user must strictly observe the accident prevention measures applicable in their country.
It is recommended not to be in the water when starting the submersible pump in the
tank and not to touch it with wet hands.
During repair work, the plug must be removed from the mains socket. Any repair,
installation or modification work carried out on the submersible pump and any of its
components containing live parts may cause serious injury or even death.
At the installation site, the power supply must be protected by a residual current device
(30 mA).
The user must not, on their own initiative, modify any parts or the system in a manner
not specified in the operating and installation instructions.
