This device must be installed in accordance with the technical guidelines.
The operator bears full responsibility for:
• Proper installation,
•
Preventing hazards caused by improper operation.
The pump is designed for:
• Operation at 220–240 V / 50 Hz AC,
•
Pumping rainwater,
•
Vertical installation in tanks (cisterns),
•
Water temperatures of 35°C,
•
A maximum immersion depth of 6 m,
• Operation near residential, business and commercial areas.
The following types of operation are prohibited:
•
Pumping contaminated water, sewage or brine,
•
Pumping water containing acids, as well as liquids causing excessive corrosion,
•
Pumping water at temperatures exceeding 35°C,
• Pumping of flammable and/or explosive media (e.g. petrol, paraffin, thinners, oil, fuel
oil or foodstuffs),
•
Installation in a frost-resistant environment,
• Dry running.
Contaminants in the water must not exceed the maximum particle size permitted for the
specific pump type (see technical data) and must not be abrasive in nature, such as sand
or gravel. The pump is designed for pumping water free from abrasive solids.
Pumping water containing sand will lead to rapid wear and tear and, consequently, to a
breakdown. In such a case, repairs will only be available at a charge.
The pump is not designed for pumping corrosive, flammable, destructive or explosive
substances (e.g. petrol, nitro, crude oil, etc.), food products or salt water. Failures caused
by pumping such liquids are not covered by the warranty.
