Safety information

WARNING!
Injury from device falling over
► Always transport the scale with two persons.
► Transport the scale carefully to prevent it from tipping over or colliding with
other people.
1. Disconnect the power supply unit from the power supply socket.
2. Disconnect the device connector of the power supply unit from the connection
socket of the scale.
3. Tilt the device until it can be moved freely on the casters.
4. Move the device in this position to the desired set up or storage location.
WARNING!
Injury from falling
► Keep an eye on ramps, edges and the guardrail when pushing the handling
aid onto the weighing platform.
► Make sure that the brakes on patient handling aids are engaged during the
weighing procedure.
WARNING!
Injury from falling
Patients in motorized wheelchairs might drive onto the weighing platform too
quickly or at the wrong angle and fall.
► Help patients in motorized wheelchairs onto the weighing platform. These pa-
tients should not drive onto the weighing platform unassisted.
WARNING!
Injury from falling/damage to device
► If the patient handling aid has a quick-locking mechanism or similar parts
close to the floor, ensure that such parts do not get caught on the scale or
scratch the weighing platform.
WARNING!
Faulty measurement (patient handling aid)
► Make sure that all wheels of the patient handling aid are standing on the sur-
face sensitive to weighing. Make sure that the patient handling aid does not
touch the wall or any other objects.
► Ensure that the wheels of patient handling aids are not positioned at the tran-
sitions between the weighing platform and ramps (additionally with the bed
scale: between the two weighing platforms), so producing a force shunt (in-
correct measured values).
