11 Disassembly
DANGER
Risk of injury due to unexpected start
The following instructions must be adhered to throughout all maintenance, servicing, assembly, disassembly and repair
work:
• Switch off the power source.
• Close off the compressed air supply.
• Close off the coolant supply.
• Disconnect all electrical connections.
• Switch off the entire welding system.
DANGER
Risk of burns
Risk of burns from hot coolant and hot surfaces.
• Switch off the cooling unit before starting maintenance, servicing, assembly, disassembly or repair work.
• Wear protective gloves.

Cause
• Plug-in connection and gas hose still
mounted
• Cable assembly flange is incorrectly
mounted on the iSTM mini
• O-ring seal at the liner fitting damaged
• O-ring seal on the torch neck damaged
• Machine-side shielding gas connector
leaking
• Wire conduit coil is dirty
• Wire conduit coil worn
• Wire conduit coil cut too short
• Heavy dirt deposits
• Compressed air supply has been
interrupted
• Wire brake piston is damaged
Troubleshooting
• Dismantle plug-in connection and gas
hose
• Check alignment
• Replace O-ring seal
• Replace O-ring seal
• Replace shielding gas hose if needed
• Disassemble wire conduit coil and air-
blast with compressed air.
• Wear safety goggles

• Replace wire conduit coil
• Mount new wire conduit coil
• Clean the wire brake components with
compressed air
• Wear safety goggles
• Connect the compressed air supply,
remove kinks
• Replace the wire brake
