9. Apply continuous GENTLE traction while squeezing the Slider toward the Thumb Ring. Do not use excessive force or coil the
sheath outside of the endoscope. This may damage the device and render it inoperable.
10. Keep the distal end of the device endoscopically visible as not to lose sight of the object during removal.
11. Keeping the object secured in the grasping jaws, withdraw the object together with the endoscope from the patient. Do not
retract the device and the object into the endoscope; this could cause damage to the endoscope and the device.
12. Once the endoscope and the retrieved object have been removed from the patient, open the grasping jaws, by moving the
Slider away from the Thumb Ring, and remove the object.
13. Prepare the specimen per institution guidelines if needed.
14. If removing additional objects from the patient, confirm that the grasping jaws open and close smoothly.
15. Re-intubate the patient.
16. Repeat steps 2-14.
17. Once the endoscopic retrieval has been completed, remove the device from the endoscope.
