Store the product and its accessories in a dark, dry and
frost-free place that is inaccessible to children.
The optimum storage temperature is between 5°C and
30˚C.
Store the product in its original packaging.
Cover the product to protect it from dust or moisture.
Store the operating manual with the product.
13.1.1

Preparation for storage

• Never store the product with fuel in the tank inside a
building in which fuel vapours may come into contact
with naked flames or sparks.
• Allow the engine to cool down before parking the
product in enclosed spaces.
• Clean and maintain the product before storage.
• In order to avoid fire hazards, keep the engine, ex-
haust pipe and the area around the fuel tank free of
grass, leaves and leaking grease (oil).
• Outdoor storage is not advisable. Also secure the
product from unauthorised access.
Tool required:
• Collection bucket*
• Fuel extraction pump*
13.1.1.1 Draining fuel with a fuel extraction pump
In case of storage over a longer period of time, the fuel
must be drained.
1. Hold a collection bucket under the hose on the fuel
extraction pump.
2. Unscrew and remove the fuel filler cap (6).
3. Push the fuel extraction pump's hose into the fuel tank
(7) and use the fuel extraction pump to drain the fuel
completely.
4. Retighten the fuel filler cap (6).
13.2

Transport

• The product may only be transported on the handle
provided for this purpose.
• Attach all protective covers.
• The product must be secured against tipping and slip-
ping during transport in vehicles in order to prevent
damage and injuries.
13.2.1 Transport position (Fig. 20)
To minimise the product's transport dimensions, the guide
handle (8) can be turned through 90°. To do this, proceed
as follows:
1. Remove the wing screw (9a).
2. Remove the guide bar mounting (9) together with the
guide bar (8) and the retaining clip (9c).
3. Turn the guide bar mounting (9) 90° so that the pins fit
into the mounting (1a) and the guide bar mounting (9)
is fully in place. The recess for the guide handle (8) is
parallel to the tubular shaft (1).
4. Now fit the guide bar (8) and the retaining clip (9c) as
described in 8.1.

14 Repair and ordering spare parts

After repairs or maintenance, make sure that all safety-re-
lated parts are installed and are in perfect condition. All
parts which may cause injury must be kept where they
are inaccessible to children or others.
ATTENTION
According to the German Product Liability Act, no liabili-
ty is accepted for damage caused by improper repairs
or by not using original spare parts.
Such work should be performed by a customer service
centre or an authorised specialists. The same applies to
accessory parts.
Spare parts and accessories can be obtained from our
Service Centre. To do this, scan the QR code on the front
page.
NOTE
Important note in the case of repairs
When returning the product for repair, for safety rea-
sons, ensure that it is free of oil and fuel when it is sent
to the service centre.
