Assembly
WARNING
There is a risk of accident! Always carry out
adjustment or assembly work when the en-
gine is switched off. There is a danger of inju-
ry! Allow the product to cool before any ad-
justment or assembly work. Elements of the
engine are hot. There is a danger of injury
and burning!
The product can start unexpectedly and cause injuries.
–
Switch off the engine before carrying out any adjust-
ment or assembly work.
–
Disconnect the spark plug connector from the spark
plug.
–
Allow the engine to cool down.
–
All protective and safety equipment must be refitted
immediately when adjustment or assembly work is
completed.
DANGER
Danger of injury!
If an incompletely assembled product is used, serious
injuries can be caused.
–
Do not use the product until it has been fully fitted.
–
Before each use, carry out a visual inspection to
check that the product is complete and does not
contain any damaged or worn components. Safety
and protective devices must be intact.
WARNING
Always make sure that the tool attachment is fitted cor-
rectly!
WARNING
To ensure product safety, only use original spare parts
from the manufacturer or spare parts approved by the
manufacturer.
ATTENTION
The use of other insertion tools and other accessories
can entail a danger of injury.
• Place the product on a level, even surface.
Tool required:
• Allen key, 5 mm (16)
• Allen key, 4 mm (15)
• Installation spanner (14)
8.1
Fitting the guide bar (8) (Fig. 2)
1. Put the spring (9b) in the recess provided.
2. Place the guide bar mounting (9) on the receiver (1a)
so that the pins match and the guide bar mounting (9)
is fully seated. The recess for the guide handle (8)
must be positioned so that the guide handle (8) is
mounted at a 90° angle to the tubular shaft (1).

3. Position the pegs of the retaining clip (9c) in the re-
cesses of the guide bar mounting (9).
4. Align the hole of the guide bar mounting (9) so that it
matches the hole of the retaining clip (9c).
5. Thread the wing screw (9a) through the holes in the
guide bar mounting (9) and the retaining clip (9c).
6. Turn the wing screw (9a) clockwise to fasten the re-
taining clip (9c) to the guide bar mounting (9) and fit
the guide bar (8).

Fitting the protective cover (12)
(Fig. 3)
DANGER

contain any damaged or worn components. Safety
and protective devices must be intact.
1. Attach the protective cover (12) to the holder provided
on the front tubular shaft (10).
2. Attach the protective cover (12) using the two Allen
screws (12a) and spring washers (12b).
Use a 5 mm Allen key (16).
8.3
Assembling/removing the coil
capsule (11) (Fig. 4)
The front tubular shaft (10) can be used as a grass trim-
mer with the coil capsule (11).
1. Remove the M10 nut (13d), the cover (13c) and the
spring washer (13b) from the receptacle spindle (10b).
Attention - Left-handed thread!
Hold the flange (10c) using a 5 mm Allen key (16) and
use an installation spanner (14) to open the M10 nut
(13d).
2. The nut M10 (13d), the cover (13c) and the clamping
disc (13b) are not required for the installation of the
coil capsule (11).
The flange (10c) remains on the receptacle spindle
(10b).
3. Hold the flange (10c) using a 5 mm Allen key (16).
4. Turn the coil capsule (11) anti-clockwise onto the re-
ceptacle spindle (10b) and fasten the coil capsule (11)
to the receptacle spindle (10b) hand-tight. Attention -
Left-handed thread!
5. Removal of the coil capsule (11) takes place in re-
verse order.
Note that the direction of rotation of the coil capsule (11)
must match with the direction of the arrow on the protec-
tive cover (12).

Assembling/removing the cutting
blade (13) (Fig. 5)
The front tubular shaft (10) can be used as a brush cutter
with the cutting blade (13).
