ATTACHING
A BUTTON
Fiat buttons can be sewn on by machine using
the zig-zag stitch.

Insert needle plate raising shim as in
structed on page 11.
1. Set stitch width selector at :

Set needle position at left
• Place button positioned on fabric under
foot and lower needle into centre of left
hole.

needle rises out of button hole and is
just above the presser foot

Continue turning hand wheet unt.

Take six or more zig-zag shtcbes and fin
ish with the needle on the >eft.

few stitches to fasten threads

Pull thread ends through to back of gar
ment knot close to fabric and
snip
off
loose ends erf thread.
