Notes
• If warm, allow the battery to cool be-
fore charging.
• Do not expose the battery to direct sun-
light for long periods and do not place
it on a radiator (max. 50°C).
Charging the battery
1. Remove the battery (16) from the
device.
2. Push the battery (16) into the charging
slot of the battery charger (20).
3. Connect the battery charger (20) to a
power outlet.
4. After charging, disconnect the battery
charger (20) from the mains.
5. Pull the battery (16) out of the battery
charger (20).

Checking the chain brake
NOTICE! The saw chain does not rotate
when the chain brake is locked into place.
Method 1 (Fig. G)
1. Place the chainsaw on a firm, level sur-
face. It must not touch any objects.
2. Operate the chain brake lever (5).
3. Insert the batteries (16) into the tool. A
warning tone sounds.
The chain brake functions.
4. Loosen the chain brake.
Method 2 (Fig. G)
1. Place the chainsaw on a firm, level sur-
face. It must not touch any objects.
2. Operate the chain brake lever (5).
3. Hold the tool firmly with both hands,
with your right hand on the rear grip
(1) and your left hand on the front grip
(4). Your thumb and fingers must tightly
clasp the grips.
4. Switch on the tool. A warning tone
sounds. The indicator (33) for the inser-
ted chain brake flashes.
The chain brake functions.
5. Release the on/off switch (2).
WARNING! Risk of injury from the
trailing saw chain. Do not use the chain-
saw if the chain brake does not work
properly. Contact the service centre.
Checking the oil automation
Before starting work, check the oil level in
the oil automation system.
