Safety Instructions
Read all the safety and general instructions.
Failure to observe the safety and general in-
structions may result in electric shock, fire
and/or serious injury.
Save all safety warnings and instructions for future ref-
erence.
Read and observe the safety warnings and instruc-
u
tions contained in all the operating instructions for
the eBike components and in the operating instruc-
tions of your eBike.
Always have the Component Connector installed and
u
repaired by an authorised specialist dealer. Specialist
knowledge is required here. Incorrect installation can
lead to it no longer being possible to operate the Com-
ponent Connector or the eBike in compliance with the
law.
The Component Connector does not have an On/Off
u
switch and is always active when the eBike is
switched on. After switching off/parking the eBike,
switch off each of the components connected to the
Component Connector separately (exception: Bosch
eBike ABS (Pro) and eShift components).
Any connectors and connection sockets on the Com-
u
ponent Connector that are not being used must be
sealed with a blind plug.
Product Description and
Specifications
Intended Use
The Component Connector is a voltage converter (DC/DC)
that can only be used with an eBike in the smart system
generation of systems. It provides an additional High Power
Port (HPP) for the connection of electrical components, e.g.
for the Bosch eBike ABS, eShift components or other elec-
trical components.

The numbering of the components shown refers to the illus-
trations on the graphics pages at the beginning of the

Assembly
Note: The Component Connector is only available as a
spare part. All the cables and/or components required for
connection must already be present on the eBike and are not
included with delivery.
Note: Contact an authorised specialist dealer when assem-
bling the Component Connector.
Note: If it is replaced, the Component Connector must be
assembled in the same manner as intended by the eBike
manufacturer. This also applies to the installation position,
the assembly material and tool to be used as well as to the
additional information on the assembly procedure. Where
necessary, when doing so take into account the operating in-
structions for the eBike or consult the eBike manufacturer.
The assembly material is not included in the scope of deliv-
ery.
Connect the cable (see figure A)
The Component Connector (1) has two connection sock-
ets:
– The red colour-coded connection socket (2) in which the
similarly red colour-coded BCC connector of the single
core/three core BCC cable is inserted.
– The yellow/orange colour-coded ABS/HPP connection
socket (3). An orange colour-coded connector of the ABS
cable, a similarly orange colour-coded connector of the
HPP and CAN cable (only for eShift) or a yellow colour-
coded connector of the HPP cable can be inserted in this
connection socket.
Note: The green colour-coded LPP cable is likewise
mechanically compatible and compatible in terms of the
electrical specification.
Connect the cables according to the following table.
a)
Note: When connecting the cable, pay attention to the col-
our coding and the orientation of the connector (see fig-
ure B).
Only the HMI cable is marked white for orientation, all other
cables are black.
