15. Further Assembly Options
a) Surface-Mounted Housing and Single Frame
For mounting of the fingerprint module "FP530" without concealed socket, the delivery includes
one single and one double housing each for surface-mounted installation.
For reasons of safety, the evaluation unit should be spatially separated from the sensor unit (e.g.
separated by a wall):
Mounting of the sensor unit in the single frame:
• Attach the metal bracket with three countersunk
screws (3x12) in the frame.
• Connect the sensor and the evaluation unit with the
enclosed cable through the middle break-out hole (a
matching cable sleeve is enclosed).
• Mount the single frame at the wall with the four en-
closed dowels and lens head screws (3.5x22).
Depending on the wall, other dowels and screws may
be required.
• Attach the sensor unit with the front frame to
the surface-mounted socket using two hexa-
gon screws.
• Insert the evaluation unit into a concealed socket or attach it in the enclosed housing right to
the wall.
• Then perform the connection to the voltage supply and, e.g., the door opener.
