5. Safety Information
The guarantee/warranty will expire if damage is incurred resulting from non-com-
pliance with the operating instructions. We do not assume any liability for conse-
quential damage!
We do not assume any liability for property damage and personal injury caused
by improper use or non-compliance with the safety instructions! In such cases the
guarantee/warranty will expire!
• The unauthorized conversion and/or modification of the product is inadmissible for
safety and approval reasons (CE).
• The product is not a toy and must be kept out of reach of children.
• The product must only be operated with a stabilised direct voltage of 12 V/DC or an alter-
nating voltage of 8 V/AC.
• The product must not become damp or wet. Install the sensor unit only in areas pro-
tected from moisture and dew formation. Otherwise, the product may be destroyed.
• The product must not be exposed to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, intense
vibration or heavy mechanical strain.
• The switching outputs must only be applied with max. 30 V (DC or AC) each and a current
of 3 A.
Never switch higher voltages (e.g. mains voltage) or higher currents. This not only poses
the possibility of potentially fatal electric shock but also danger of fire.
• Ensure that the connection cable between the sensor unit and evaluation unit is not
crushed, bent or damaged by sharp edges. The same applies to the connected cables.
• Do not leave packaging material unattended. It may become a dangerous toy for
children.
• Handle the product with care. It can be damaged by impact, blows or when dropped
even from a low height.
• In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the Employer's Liability
Insurance Association for Electrical Systems and Operating Materials are to be observed.
