12. Factory Reset
Resetting the fingerprint module "FP530" to the factory settings is performed as follows:
• Remove the jumpers from the evaluation unit.
• Set a jumper to "JP2" and wait for approx. 20 seconds until "LED2" goes out. Only then all finger-
prints will be deleted.
• The switching time of the relay is reset to approx. three seconds.
• The jumper "JP2" must be removed now.
• The fingerprint module is in the delivery state again.
All fingerprints have been deleted (including the "master" fingerprint).
13. Hardware Reset
If "LED1" and "LED2" do not react to touching of the sensor, this may be due to external influence
such as voltage peaks, mis-operation or forgotten removal of jumpers.
Interrupt the operating voltage at the "power" terminal for 20 seconds. This will perform a reset.
The programmed fingerprint data are retained in this case.
14. Overview of the Operating Modes
In the following table, "x" means a plugged jumper. "-" means a removed jumper. The pins "JP1"
and "JP2" are located on the evaluation unit of the fingerprint module.
