7. Commissioning
At the evaluation unit, there is an 8-pin
connection terminal for the operating
voltage and the relay outputs.
The fingerprint module can control, e.g.,
a door opener, directly. For this, the door
opener is connected to one of the three
relay switching outputs "REL1", "REL2" or
"REL3" of the evaluation unit.
The relay contacts are potential-free. The
two terminals of the three switching out-
puts are the respective relay closing con-
tacts.
The connection must only be established
when powered down, since there may be
a short circuit otherwise.
Connect the power supply to the two
"Power" terminals. You do not have to ob-
serve the polarity.
Before activating the power supply, check
all connections for correct and tight fit
again.
After switching on the power supply, the LEDs (see top figure, "LED1", "LED2" and "Status") start
to light up.
After approx. two seconds, the "Status" LED goes out.
During this starting time, the system is internally reviewed. The fingerprint module is then ready
for operation. You can start to programme the users' fingerprints.
