2. Intended Use
The fingerprint module serves as access system for various applications that can be operated
via the relay switching outputs. The product provides three relays for this that can be switched
independently of each other.
It permits control of various systems (such as door openers) via the unique fingerprint. The sen-
sitive information is saved encrypted, which, together with the possibility of spatial separation
of sensor and evaluation unit, warrants an extremely high degree of safety from unauthorised
access.
The fingerprint is read by the module and if it corresponds to one of the authorized persons (up to
90 can be programmed), the assigned potential-free switching output is activated.
The configuration of the system and user management take place via the enclosed PC software
(at least Windows XP or higher needed) or with a limited scope of functions right at the device.
The operating voltage supply of the product can be a direct voltage source
(12 V/DC) or an alternating voltage source (e.g. bell transformer, 8 V/AC).
The switching outputs must only be applied with max. 30 V (DC or AC) each and a current of 3 A.
The relay switching times can be adjusted from 0.5 to 30 seconds.
No machines or devices that pose a danger to life and limb must be switched with the product.
The sensor unit is intended for installation into a standard concealed electrical installation socket;
the evaluation unit can be safely installed in an access-protected location via a connection cable.
For lower safety requirements, the sensor and evaluation unit can also be installed together using
the enclosed surface-mounted double housing. The matching front frames from the Sygonix SX.11
switch programme are available separately in single and multiple implementations.
The product must not get damp or wet.
The required safety regulations concerning the safety distance to live voltages/cables have to be
observed.
No part of this product must be modified or converted! Always observe the safety information!
