5. Replacing a Frog Leg Fork
To remove the Frog Leg Fork, please follow the below
instructions:
• Remove the M6 screws shown in position 1.4 (Fig. 9)
with an Allen key.
• Remove the cap shown in position 1.6 (Fig. 9)
• Remove the safety screws in position 1.5 (Fig. 9)
with an Allen key.
• Open lock nut as shown in position 1.7 (Fig. 9)
with tool kit 66009203-ET.
• Remove caster bolt in position 1.3 (Fig. 9)
as shown in Position 1.1.
Once you are ready to assemble the new frog leg fork, please
follow the below instructions always using the recommended
torques in each step:
• Assemble the caster bolt in Pos 1.3 (Fig. 9)
• Lock the safety screws in Pos 1.5 (Fig. 9)
• Lock the cap shown in position 1.6 (Fig. 9)
• Adjust for caster fork angle, camber and height as
described in the service manual.
• Lock the nut in Pos 1.7 (Fig. 9) using a torque of 28 Nm.
• Adjust the M6 screws shown in position 1.4 (Fig.9)
using a torque of 7 Nm.
