OPERATION OF THE DEVICE
Battery installation
Before starting the machine, the cutting disc must be installed (see below).
To start the saw, insert the charged battery in the socket fig. G1. After
installing the battery, protect it fig. G3 against splashing with the flap fig.
G2. During operation, the flap is to be lowered as in fig. G4. Be sure to
use only the manufacturer's recommended batteries.
MONTAGE
Before using the tile saw, install all the necessary
components of the machine: diamond blade, blade guard and
parallel fence.
Mounting the diamond disc
• Remove the 45° angle stop Fig. C1.
• Loosen the screw and remove the washer from the blade guard
fig. C2.
• Lift the blade guard from the notch Fig. C3.
• Remove the blade nut and outer flange from the spindle
• Place the diamond disc on the spindle so that it is centred on the
inner flange. Then place the outer flange on the spindle fig. C3
• Note: Make sure that the direction of rotation of the blade is in
line with the arrow marked on the saw housing. Fig. C5
• Replace the blade nut. The unit is supplied with 2 spanners, block
the spindle rotation with one spanner and tighten the blade nut with
the other spanner fig. C6.
Shield assembly
• Loosen the screw and remove the washer from the blade guard
bracket fig. D1.
• Place the blade guard bracket in the water tank. The "L" of the
bracket should point towards the centre of the table fig D2.
• Slide the disc guard bracket into the slot behind the diamond disc,
at the back of the table Fig. D3.
• Holding the blade guard bracket up and in place, fix it to the table
top using the screw and washer fig. D4.
• Slide the blade cover back to its original position fig. D5.
• Fasten the blade guard using the washer and screw fig. D6.
• Refit the 45° edge guide fig. D7
• Remove the knob, screw and washer from the blade guard fig. D8.
• Place the blade guard on the blade guard bracket fig. D9. Secure it
in place using the screw, washer and knob fig D8. Tighten the knob
enough so that the blade guard rests on the table but rises when the
workpiece is pressed against the diamond disc.
CONFIGURATION AND ADJUSTMENT OF THE SAW
WARNING! MAKE SURE THE TOOL IS DISCONNECTED FROM THE
POWER SUPPLY BEFORE CARRYING OUT THE FOLLOWING
OPERATIONS. FOR SAFETY REASONS, AS THE PRODUCT USES
WATER DURING OPERATION.
Setting the parallel guide
• Release the parallel guide locking clamps and slide the parallel
guide on the work table. Make sure it lies parallel to the cutting disc.
Use the guide ruler fig. A7/fig. A9 to obtain the desired cutting width
fig. E1.
• Secure the parallel fence in place using the parallel fence locking
clamps fig. E2.
• Setting the diagonal guide
• Once the parallel guide is fixed, the bevel guide can be clipped to it.
The bevel guide can be easily moved back and forth on the parallel
guide fig. E3.
• Loosen the bevel guide locking knob fig. A1 and set the bevel scale
to the desired cutting angle shown on the bevel cutting indicator. Re-
attach the bevel guide locking knob fig. A1.
Edge guide setting 45°
• Lift the 45° edge guide fig A4, lever up the support and place the
tabs in the corresponding holes in the tabletop fig E5. Make sure
the fence is correctly fixed before cutting.
Water tank
• Remove the 45° edge guide fig. A4 and fill the tank with enough
clean water so that the bottom edge of the diamond disc is immersed
in it, but not more than 1/4 of the disc fig. E6.
• When you have finished cutting, remove the plug Fig. A12 inside the
tank to drain the water.
NOTE: The stopper is also a protection against overflow, if the unit
is overfilled, water will spill out.
WARNING! DO NOT ADD CHEMICALS OR DETERGENTS TO THE
WATER.
WORKING WITH A SAW
OPERATION OF TILE SAW
On/off switch Fig. F1
The switch is protected against moisture with a flap Fig. G5, to start the
saw you must first pull the flap off and only then can you start the machine
• Switch on the tile saw by pressing the green button (I).
• Switch off the tile saw by pressing the red button (0).
Note: In the event of a power failure, accidental disconnection or
power failure, it will be necessary to press the green button (I) again
to restart the tile cutting saw.
NOTE: ALWAYS ALLOW THE BLADE TO REACH FULL SPEED
BEFORE CUTTING.
WARNING! THE DIAMOND BLADE WILL CONTINUE TO ROTATE
FOR A FEW SECONDS AFTER THE INSERT IS FINISHED CUTTING
AND THE SAW IS SWITCHED OFF. WAIT UNTIL THE BLADE STOPS
BEFORE REMOVING THE INSERT
Straight cut
Set the parallel guide fig. A2 to the desired width. Hold the cut tile securely
and guide it evenly by pressing it gently against the diamond disc fig. F2.
Hold the edges of the workpiece and press down firmly to prevent the
insert from lifting during cutting.
Diagonal cut
Raise the 45° guide if you want to cut at an angle to the edge of the
workpiece. Make the cut using the same technique as a straight cut.
Internal or external diagonal cuts can be made by rotating the workpiece
Fig. F3.
Angle cutting
After mounting the bevel guide fig A3 on the parallel fence, adjust the
cutting angle to the desired angle. Hold the bevel guide and the workpiece
and guide the workpiece evenly to the diamond disc fig. F4. Make sure
the workpiece is well seated in the guide before starting to cut fig A3.
MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
BLADE REPLACEMENT
NOTE: NEVER USE A BLADE THAT IS TOO THICK TO ALLOW THE
EXTERNAL BLADE WASHER TO BE APPLIED TO THE FLAT
SURFACES ON THE SPINDLE. THIS WILL PREVENT THE BLADE
SCREW FROM PROPERLY SECURING THE BLADE TO THE
SPINDLE.
CAUTION! NEVER ATTEMPT TO USE A DISC THAT IS LARGER
THAN
THE
DIAMETER
SPECIFICATIONS. THIS MAY RESULT IN CONTACT WITH THE DISC
GUARD AND CAUSE INJURY OR DAMAGE TO THE TILE SAW. THIS
WILL NOT BE COVERED BY THE WARRANTY.
ATTENTION: DO NOT USE SEGMENTED DISCS FOR CUTTING
Make sure the saw is disconnected from the battery power supply.
To replace the disc with a new one, follow the steps outlined in the section
Fitting a diamond disc.
GENERAL MAINTENANCE
IMPORTANT! BEFORE CLEANING THE TILE CUTTING SAW OR
CARRYING OUT ANY MAINTENANCE, MAKE SURE THE MOTOR IS
SWITCHED OFF AND THE TOOL IS DISCONNECTED FROM THE
POWER SOURCE TO PREVENT ACCIDENTAL STARTING.
- Always keep
prevent foreign bodies from entering them.
