Cleaning the brewing unit

The brewing unit must be cleaned every week. If the appliance is used in-
tensively, more frequent cleaning is recommended. If you do not use your
appliance for a prolonged period (e.g. holiday) it is necessary to empty
the waste container (13) and water tank (9) and to clean the brewing unit
thoroughly.
To clean the brewing unit, proceed as follows:
Switch off the appliance with the "ON/OFF" button

ance carries out a flushing cycle and then prompts you to empty the
waste container.
Pull the waste container out of the appliance, then empty and clean it.

Remove the coffee delivery unit (16) by pressing the release button

with your thumb and pulling the door with the coffee delivery unit out
to the front.
The brewing unit is located behind the coffee delivery unit.
WARNING
Danger of burns!
The delivery unit may still be hot if you have recently prepared coffee.

Always allow the brewing unit to cool down before cleaning.
