Remove the foaming attachment after every foaming and clean it
thoroughly of any residues of milk. The air intake opening below the
fastener must not be clogged. If necessary, clean with a thin needle.

Emptying the waste container

The waste container must be emptied and cleaned regularly after produ-
cing 16 coffees. The following appears on the display:
As soon as you are prompted to empty the waste container, no more cof-
fees can be produced.
Remove the waste container, empty and clean it and push the cleaned

waste container back into the appliance. The appliance is now ready for
the production of coffee again.
NOTE

Empty the waste container always with the appliance switched on.
Only then can the appliance detect the emptying. If you empty the
waste container with the appliance switched off, this will not be reco-
gnised. The consequence is that when the appliance is switched on
the next time you may be prompted to empty the waste container
after the 1st coffee.

As a general rule with daily use of the appliance, the waste container
should also be cleaned every day. You will be reminded of this every
time by the following display symbol:
