Pour approx. 100 ml low-fat cold milk into a vessel (e.g. a stainless steel
jug) that has to fit under the steam nozzle of the appliance.
NOTE
The milk should be well cooled. You should also use a cold vessel and
not rinse it out beforehand with hot water.
To avoid water from the line getting into the milk during foaming,
allow the water to drain first. Hold a vessel under the steam nozzle
and turn the rotary switch "Hot water/steam" (17) to position
until steam starts to be produced. Then turn the rotary switch back
to position
.
Swing out the steam nozzle and hold the jug under the steam nozzle so
that the nozzle opening is immersed in the milk.
CAUTION
Impurities caused by dried milk in the steam nozzle!
Ensure that you do not immerse the steam nozzle into the milk so far
that the air intake opening at the upper end of the steam nozzle is
covered with milk. This would allow milk to be drawn into the nozzle
and could cause impurities in the steam nozzle.
Turn the rotary switch "hot water/steam" (17) to position
milk is foamed.
NOTE
Hold the jug still during foaming. The nozzle should not touch the
bottom of the jug in order not to hinder the delivery of steam. Foam
the milk to at least double the volume.
To terminate foaming, turn the rotary switch "hot water/steam" (17) to
position
. The appliance indicates that it is ready to generate steam
again on the display.
