Purpose
LordoLoc is a medical device. It is an orthosis

for the stabilization and
relief of the lumbar spine using tensioning straps.
Indications
• General pain in the lumbar spine (acute and chronic)
• Moderate degeneration / muscular insufficiency of the spine
Risks of using this product
Important information
• LordoLoc is a product that should be applied under a physician's
guidance. LordoLoc should only be worn in accordance with these
instructions for use and for the listed areas of application.
• The product should be worn over a T-shirt or an undershirt.
• LordoLoc must be individually adapted to the patient by a trained
specialist

. This is the only way to guarantee the full effect and optimal
wearing comfort of the orthosis.
• Incorrect use of the support will terminate any product liability.
• No modifications may be made to the product. Failure to comply with
this requirement may adversely affect product per formance, thereby
terminating any product liability.
• Please consult your medical provider before using LordoLoc in
combination with other products.
• Do not allow the product to come into contact with ointments, lotions or
substances containing grease or acids.
• If you have any complaints, please contact your medical retailer only. We
would point out that only clean goods can be dealt with.
• Side effects, that affect the entire organism, have not been reported
to date. Correct fitting is assumed. Any supports and orthoses applied
externally to the body can, if tightened excessively, lead to local pressure
signs or, rarely, constrict the underlying blood vessels or nerves.
• For this reason, check the fit of the product if you feel unpleasant
pressure and consult the specialist in this regard or for general
questions about handling.
• Caution: When loosening the straps or tensioning and fastening
systems, or when removing the product or adjusting configured
limitations of movement, there is not sufficient support / sufficient
protection of the body part requiring treatment. In this case,
particularly avoid placing any strain on this body part.
• If you notice any negative changes or an increase in symptoms while
using the product, stop any further use and contact your physician
immediately.
Contra-indications
Hypersensitive reactions harmful to health have not been reported to
date. If you are experiencing any of the following conditions, supports
and orthoses such as the LordoLoc should only be fitted and worn after
consultation with your medical provider:
• Skin disorders / injuries in the relevant part of the body, particularly
if inflammation is present. Likewise, any raised scars with swellling,
redness and excessive heat build-up.
• Impaired sensation.
• Severe restriction of the performance of heart and lungs (risk of
elevated blood pressure if the aid is worn during severe physical
exertion).

Fitting LordoLoc
• Wrap the orthosis around your body so that the stays are positioned in
the middle of your back. The tensioning straps are at the top
• Grasp the hand straps provided on the right and left of the fastening and
pull the orthosis forward evenly

• Press the left half of the fastener against the abdomen and pull the right
half over it to secure the Velcro fastening

• When securing the Velcro fastening, remove the fingers from the left

loop first, followed by the right loop

• Pull the two ends of the upper strap forward to produce the individually
desired level of force to reinforce the compression

. Secure the ends
of the upper strap against the base Velcro fastening

. Ensure that the
whole Velcro section is fastened over the product so as to avoid contact
between the Velcro tapes and clothing or skin.
Instructions for Product Care
Please use mild detergent and a mesh bag. We recommend closing the
Velcro fastenings before washing to preserve their long-term adhesive
strength and to prevent damage. Never expose your product to direct
heat / cold. Also observe the instructions on the sewn-in label on the
upper edge of your product. Regular care guarantees optimum effective-
ness of the product.

LordoLoc is supplied ready for use.
Technical specifications / parameters
The LordoLoc is made from knitted fabric with additional tensioning
straps. The back area of the orthosis is reinforced with corset stays.
A fastening extension can be inserted to increase the circumference.

• Vérifiez donc l'ajustement de l'aide thérapeutique si vous ressentez une
pression désagréable et demandez conseil à ce sujet au professionnel

maniement.
• Attention: en cas de relâchement des sangles ainsi que des
systèmes de fermeture et de traction, en cas de retrait du produit
ou de modification des limites de mouvement réglées, la prise en
charge / la protection de la partie du corps nécessitant un
traitement ne sont pas suffisantes. Évitez, notamment dans ce cas,
toute sollicitation de cette partie du corps.
• Si vous constatez un quelconque changement négatif lié à l'utilisation du
produit ou une augmentation des troubles, interrompez son utilisation et

Contre-indications
En cas d'existence ou d'apparition des symptômes cités ci-après,
l'utilisation de ce produit doit être précédé d'une consultation auprès de
votre médecin habituel:
• Dermatoses, lésions cutanées dans la zone en contact avec l'orthèse,
notamment en cas d'inflammations : cicatrices avec gonflement,
rougeur et hyperthermie.
• Troubles de la sensibilité.
• Forte limitation de la capacité fonctionnelle du cœur et des poumons
(risque d'élévation de la tension artérielle lors d'un effort physique
marqué, l'orthèse étant mise).

Mise en place de LordoLoc
• Placez l'orthèse autour de l'abdomen de manière à positionner les
renforts au milieu du dos. Les sangles de traction se trouvent de la sorte

lavage. Ne jamais exposer votre dispositif à une source de chaleur / froid
