B Safety Precautions
Please read the following before using this device.
Warning indicates hazards which, without precautionary
measures, can result in serious injury or death.
Caution indicates hazards which, without precautionary
measures, can result in minor or moderate injury or
impair treatment; or cause damage to the device.
WARNING
To reduce the risk of serious injury:
1. Do not use a damaged power supply or handle a
power supply with wet hands.
2. Do not use extension cords where they can fall into
a bathtub, sink, or other liquid.
3. Also, do not use the nebuliser system where it can
fall into water, e.g. bathtub.
4. Do not reach for the device if it has fallen into water
or other liquid. Unplug immediately from the wall
outlet. Retrieve the device only after it has been
unplugged.
5. Improper use may cause damage to the product and
lead to injuries and illness. Follow these Instructions
for Use and all safety instructions contained herein
and then save them for future reference.
6. To ensure the correct dose, never use another drug
for a drug-specific nebuliser handset than the one
approved, and do not use with an eFlow
nebuliser handset.
7. For reasons of hygiene and to avoid cross-infections,

the eFlow
rapid nebuliser handset and the connec-
tion cord must be used by one patient only. For
patients at greater risk of infection, e.g., with cystic
fibrosis (CF) or a weakened immune system, or for
those infected with MRSA it is recommended that the
®
eBase
Controller and the power adapter are also
used by one patient only.

8. To avoid infections, clean the nebuliser handset
including the aerosol head before they are used for
the first time.
9. To keep the membrane from clogging and to prevent
infections, you must clean the nebuliser handset
including the aerosol head immediately after each
treatment.
10. To prevent possible infections, you must also
disinfect the nebuliser handset and aerosol head
after each treatment day.
11. Always unplug the device right after using and before
cleaning.
12. To avoid the chance of fire, do not use where oxy-
gen or combustible gases are being used such as an
oxygen tent.
13. Use only original PARI parts and accessories.
Otherwise this can lead to malfunction including
interference of nearby devices.
14. The device may be operated in a car, train or
airplane. To minimize possible interference issues,
please note the following:
a. It must only be used in passenger areas of trains
b. Do not use near the control systems of airplanes
c. It must be operated using battery power while in a

15. Do not use the device while driving.
16. Do not place the controller next to or on top of other
medical devices during operation unless both
devices are monitored constantly to make sure both
are operating properly.
17. Do not use in areas exposed to elevated magnetic or
electrical radiation such as an MRI scanner or high
frequency surgical equipment in hospital.
