g) Continuity test
When measuring the resistor in series, first switch off all power circuits to be
measured and discharge all capacitors, in order to ensure correct measurements.
Do not apply input voltages higher than 30 V/AC (mean), peak 42 V/AC or 60 V/DC,
in order to avoid hazards.
• Connect the red test lead to the

• Connect the measuring tips in parallel with two connectors of the resistor to be measured. Use
the mobile software (app) to select the continuity test function. If the resistance between the
two connectors of the resistor is <10 ohms, an acoustic signal will sound, and if the resistance
is >100 ohms, no acoustic signal will sound. If the resistance is >10 ohms or <100 ohms, one
or no acoustic signal will sound.
• Disconnect the test leads from the measuring object after all measurements have been
completed.
h) Diode test
When testing the diode in series, first disconnect all loads of the power circuit to be
tested and discharge all capacitors.
When testing the diode within an open power circuit or if the diode has opposite
polarities, a voltage reading of approx. 3.4 V will be displayed.
Do not apply input voltages higher than 30 V/AC or 30 V/DC, in order to avoid
hazards.
• Connect the red test lead to the
COM socket. The red test lead is of + (positive) polarity and the black lead is of – (negative)
polarity.
• Connect the measuring tips in parallel with the two connectors of the diode to be tested. Use
the mobile software (app) to select the diode test function. The readings of the diode will be
displayed by the app. The measurement values of the p-n junction usually amount to approx.
500 - 800 mV.
• Disconnect the test leads from the measuring object after all measurements have been
completed. A voltage reading of approx. 3.4 V will be displayed for the open power circuit.
