14. MAINTENANCE AND CARE

a) General

The product does not require any maintenance, do not disassemble it. Maintenance or repairs
may be carried out by a professional only.
Charge the internal rechargeable battery regularly (approx. every 3 months), even when not
using the DMM for a longer period of time.
Regularly check the technical safety of the device and test leads — i.e. auf for
damages to the housing or pinching, etc.

b) Cleaning

Read and observe the following safety instructions before cleaning the device:
Live parts can be exposed when opening covers or removing parts except when
this is possible by hand.
Disconnect the test leads from the DMM and all test objects before cleaning or
maintenance. Turn the DMM off.
Do not use any abrasive cleaners, benzine, alcohol or the like for cleaning. Such substances
may corrode the meter's surface. Moreover, the fumes are harmful and explosive. Do not use
sharp-edged tools, screwdrivers, metal brushes or similar for cleaning.
Use a clean, lint-free, anti-static and slightly damp cloth for cleaning the DMM and test leads. Let
the device and accessories dry completely before using them again.
