• Clean the cutting device regularly with a brush or a cloth.
Never clean the cutting device with water (danger of cor-
rosion!)
• Clean and oil all moving parts regularly.

Service information
With this product, it is necessary to note that the following
parts are subject to natural or usage-related wear, or that the
following parts are required as consumables.

14. Storage
Store unused devices with the blade guard pushed on in a dry,
locked place and out of reach of children.
Clean and maintain the device before storing it.
Caution:
Never stow the device for longer than 30 days without carry-
ing out the following steps:
Stowing the device for more than 30 days
If you stow the device for longer than 30 days, it must be
prepared ahead of time. Otherwise, the remaining fuel in the
carburettor will evaporate and leave a rubbery sediment be-
hind. This could make it difficult to start and result in expensive
repair work.
• Drain the fuel (see 9.2.)
• Start the engine and let it run until it stops in order to remove
the fuel from the carburettor.
• Allow the engine to cool down (approx. 5 minutes).

• Remove the spark plug (see 13.5.).
• Add 1 teaspoon of clean 2-stroke oil to the combustion
chamber.
• Pull the starter cord slowly several times to coat the internal
components.
• Re-insert the spark plug (see 13.5).
Note:
Store the device in a dry location, far away from potential
sources of ignition, such as furnaces, hot water boilers with
gas, gas dryers, etc.
15. Disposal and recycling
Information on packaging
The packaging materials are recyclable.
Please dispose of packaging in an environ-
mentally friendly manner.
Contact your local refuse disposal authority for
more details of how to dispose of your worn-out
electrical devices.
Fuels and oils
• Before disposing of the unit, the fuel tank and the engine oil
tank must be emptied!
• Fuel and engine oil do not belong in household waste or
drains, but must be collected or disposed of separately!
• Empty oil and fuel tanks must be disposed of in an environ-
mentally friendly manner.
