14. care and maintenance

For the first 24 months your SCHUBERTH RiderEcall requires no
maintenance. The SCHUBERTH RiderEcall has been manufactured
to ingress protection standard IP 65. This protects it against
water, dirt, dust, cold (-20 degrees C) and heat (+60 degrees C).
If it becomes dirty, clean your SCHUBERTH RiderEcall using a
damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaning agents. Ensure that the
microphone and loudspeaker do not become blocked. When not
used for lengthy periods (e.g. in winter), store the motorcycle
unit in a dry place at room temperature, away from direct
sunlight.
Caution: Your SCHUBERTH RiderEcall is protected against
splashing water and rain (protection class IP65), however
it may not be immersed in water. Under no circumstances
should you clean the system with automotive fuels, solvents
or any other cleaning agents containing alcohol.

Note: Neither of the two parts of the SCHUBERTH RiderEcall
must be manipulated or damaged. Any manipulation or
modification will invalidate the warranty and may interfere
with the proper functioning of the unit.
Note: Keep the SCHUBERTH RiderEcall out of reach of children
or animals.
Note: Treat the SCHUBERTH RiderEcall with care. It may be
damaged by impacts or blows or by falling even from a
moderate height.
