1. serVice Partner

The emergency service to which the Schuberth RiderEcall is
linked has been arranged through the Björn Steiger Foundation.
Since 1969 the Björn Steiger Foundation has worked to develop
and improve the effectiveness of rescue services. Many
achievements in the emergency services that are today taken for
granted have been initiatives and projects instigated by the
Foundation. These include the emergency 112 telephone number
and associated emergency call centres, the development of the
air rescue service and many further technical developments.
The mobile telephone positioning function for emergency calls,
introduced into Germany in 2006, is also a system provided by
the Björn Steiger Foundation for use by the emergency call
centres. By providing emergency services for the RiderEcall and
other users, the foundation has now made a long-term
extension to its activities in Europe.

2. general Functions

The SCHUBERTH RiderEcall is designed to attract emergency
assistance should you be involved in an accident. The SCHUBERTH
RiderEcall automatically detects an accident situation and
sends an emergency SMS to the emergency call centre via
the GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) network
containing the GPS coordinates of your location. At the same
time the system automatically establishes telephone contact
with the emergency call centre.

After the connection has been established you will be
served personally over the system by an employee in the
language of your country regardless of where in the area
of the European Union, Liechtenstein and Switzerland
you are located (not including Cyprus).
Note: Both uninterrupted network coverage (GPS/GSM) (not
available in e. g. rural areas which are not served with
a mobile phone network or sometimes in tunnels) and
a permanent mains supply are required at all times for
the smooth operation of the SCHUBERTH RiderEcall. If your
motorcycle does not have a power outlet, you can purchase
one and have it installed at an authorized retail outlet.
