C. SChuberth ridereCall
The motorcycle unit (see Figure 1) and the helmet sensor (see
Figure 2) are linked to one another by radio. An emergency is
detected when preset threshold values are exceeded in the
acceleration sensors (on helmet sensor and motorcycle unit)
and the inclination sensors (motorcycle unit). An automatic
emergency alert is sent immediately in the form of an emergency
SMS, also containing the GPS coordinates of the accident
location. Simultaneously, a telephone call is set up to the
emergency centre.
The motorcycle unit is provided with a lithium-ion battery. This
assures the availability of power and thus the functioning of the
unit (for approx. 15 minutes) in the event that the main power
supply is cut off in an accident.
Note: Please be aware that the system must be charged up
for 4 hours before being started up (e. g. using the USB cable
supplied) so the battery can reach full capacity in the event
of an accident.
Note: Please bear in mind that the SCHUBERTH RiderEcall is
an emergency system. Under no circumstances should you
use it in the event of a breakdown.

Note: It is strictly forbidden to activate the SOS button
without a valid reason (accident, hazardous situation
etc.). This can result in the deactivation of the system.
Note: The employee of the emergency call centre is
instructed to alert the officially responsible emergency
call centre in case of doubt (e.g. if there is no voice
contact). Depending on the regulations in the land in
which the call centre is situated, a false alarm may also
result in a fine being imposed on the owner of the
system.
