C. SChuberth ridereCall
10. setting tHe system uP
Set up the power supply to the motorcycle unit of your
SCHUBERTH RiderEcall. On some motorcycle types this may require
the ignition to be switched on. Switch the system on at the on/
off switch (On: 1 second; Off: 2 seconds). All power LEDs light up
for one second.
The motorcycle unit now automatically initiates its search
routine for a GSM signal for SMS and a GPS signal for obtaining
positioning coordinates. This procedure lasts approx. 60 seconds.
When setting the system up for the first time this may take a few
minutes longer. During this time the top LED indicator
on the motorcycle unit will flash.
Note: If the power supply is cut off without the SCHUBERTH
RiderEcall being switched off, the system will remain active
for a further 10 seconds in order to issue any necessary alarm
signal. After reconnecting the mains voltage the system must
be reset again.
Once the unit is ready for operation and signals can be sent and
received, the top LED indicator is lit continuously. The system is
now activated.
If no signals are received because network coverage is insufficient,
the LED will continue to flash. In this event, the motorcycle unit
will continue to run its search routine until GSM and GPS signals
can be received. By pressing the helmet sensor button you can
check at any time how many helmet sensors are connected to the
motorcycle unit (see detailed description on page 19).
