11. automatic issuing oF an emergency signal

If the tilt sensor (on the motorcycle unit) and acceleration
sensors (on both motorcycle and helmet units) exceed
predefined parameters, an emergency alarm is automatically
issued. Immediately the threshold values are exceeded, the
system sounds a warning tone that lasts for 30 seconds.
Unless the Cancel button is pressed during this 30 seconds,
an emergency SMS is then sent with your registered data and
current GPS positioning coordinates to the emergency centre.
At the same time, the system also sets up a voice call to the
emergency centre. In ideal conditions communication is possible
within a range of up to 3 metres (depending on the noise level
in the surroundings) of the motorcycle unit with an integrated
microphone and loudspeaker. If no communication with you
can be obtained by the emergency centre, notification is then
always sent to the appropriate local rescue coordination centre
of the emergency signal together with the registration data, the
information from your emergency medical record (if present) and
your GPS coordinates. The rescue centre will then immediately
send an ambulance to you.

In the event of an emergency you also have the option of
sending an emergency signal manually. To do so, hold the SOS
button down for 3 seconds.

The system issues a warning tone that lasts for 10 seconds.
Unless the Cancel button is pressed during this 10 seconds,
an emergency SMS is then sent with your registered data and
current GPS positioning coordinates to the emergency centre.
At the same time, the system also sets up a voice call to the
emergency centre. For this call it should be possible to speak
and hear if you are within a radius of up to 3 metres from the
motorcycle unit (depending on the noise level in your immediate
environment) using the microphone and loudspeaker.
