Cleaning and Disinfection
Hazard of overdosed radiation or electrical shock.
• Set the X-ray system to OFF before you start the cleaning procedure of the X-ray tube assembly.
• Do not open the covers of the X-ray system.
• Do not change or remove the covers or other parts of the X-ray tube assembly.
The X-ray tube assembly must be directly accessible.
• Do not change the configuration of the X-ray tube assembly.
• Make sure that no detergents get inside the X-ray equipment.
• If you use cleaning agents such as detergents, make sure that they do not contain explosive substances as
they can create explosive gas mixtures.
• Obey the regional legal requirements that refer to the cleaning procedure.
• Obey the manufacturers information and safety instructions of the detergents.
If you do not obey this instruction, there is a risk of death or serious injury.
Cleaning
Only if
• the X-ray tube assembly is not behind covers of the X-ray system,
• the X-ray tube assembly has no covers itself,
• the X-ray tube assembly has direct access,
clean the X-ray tube assembly.
Cleaning procedure
• Do not use detergents or polishes that can cause corrosion, delamination, or abrasion.
• Do not use caustic, solvent, or abrasive detergents or polishes.
• Do not use detergents or polishes based on alcohol.
• Clean enameled parts, chrome parts, and aluminum surfaces only with a moist cloth and a mild detergent or
polishes.
• Wipe with a dry woolen cloth.
